Forging Presses for Railway Track Components

The Forged Parts Holding Track Together

Every kilometre of track contains thousands of forged components: elastic rail clips in spring steel that must hold clamping force through decades of vibration, fishplates and bolts joining rail sections, base plates, and points-and-crossing parts.

Why Forged, Not Fabricated

Rail loading is pure fatigue territory — millions of cycles. Forging's continuous grain flow gives fatigue life that parts machined from plate cannot match, which is why railway specifications worldwide mandate forged construction for these components.

Production Requirements

This is closed-die work on forging screw presses with heavy quality control: every heat lot traceable, hardness and load tests per batch. Repeatable energy per blow is what makes batch-to-batch consistency achievable.
