Deep Drawing Presses for Utensil and Cookware Production

The Utensil Production Sequence

Circle blanking, cupping or first draw, redraw, trimming, beading and curling, then finishing. Each stage maps to a press: C-frame for blanking and trimming, H-frame for the drawing stages. Each draw can only reduce diameter by roughly 30 to 40 percent before the metal tears, which is why deep shapes need multiple redraws.

What Matters in a Drawing Press

Slower, controlled ram speed through the draw, adequate shut height and stroke for redraw depth, a rigid frame to prevent wrinkling from uneven blank-holder pressure, and a cushion option for demanding shapes. Draw too fast and the wall tears; hold the blank too loosely and it wrinkles.

Beyond Kitchenware

The same drawing capability serves LPG stove parts, pressure cooker bodies, dairy equipment, and water storage components.

Tell us your deepest draw — Birson will spec stroke, shut height, and tonnage for the full line.
