What changes the final power press price
Electricals: the prices above are without electricals.
Clutch: a rolling key clutch is standard. A pneumatic clutch and brake costs more.
Safety devices: two-hand push button control, light curtain or hand sensor, fixed die guard, hydraulic overload protector.
Changes built to your drawing: longer stroke, enlarged bolster or a custom capacity.
GST, freight to your city and installation.
C type or H type power press?
A C type press is open at the front, so the operator can reach the die from three sides. That suits hand feeding, strip feeding, piercing, trimming and bending. An H type press has a closed frame, which keeps the ram square under heavy or off-centre loads and suits blanking, drawing and progressive dies.
At every tonnage in our range, the C type has a larger bed, weighs more and has a higher starting price than the H type of the same tonnage. Compare the two in the table above.
How to choose the right tonnage
We advise running a press at 70 to 80 percent of its rated tonnage, so pick a press with headroom above your calculated cutting force. Work out the force for your part with our press tonnage calculator, or send us the part drawing and material thickness and we will size the press for you.
